I keep a sketchbook with me whenever I travel and take accompanying photographs of landscapes I sketch. Turin, Italy was a stop on my way around the world to study in Australia. As my thoughts wander to freedom of motion during the recent upheaval of everyday life I decided to paint from an older sketch and relive the feeling of a wide open blue sky and sun gently hitting the buildings as I waited in Turin for a friend to arrive.
